There was an explosion at the Hornady manufacturing plant the other day. I don’t know if this will have any impact on shipments but it’s good to know. Wednesday morning Winchester’s Lake City ammo plant announced that they are canceling or holding all their commercial 5.56 ammo orders. I have heard this directly from two different distributors. One distributor said they actually had a shipment inbound from Winchester and the container was turned back around and sent back to Winchester. All quantities of range .223 Remington and 5.56 Nato are currently sold out across the board at all our distributors. For those who don’t know almost every firearm dealer in the United States uses the same distributors. Sounds like a majority of ammunition is going to be heading in other directions…. The good news is, we have Winchester 5.56 and .223 range ammunition in bulk packs inbound! Along with 5.56 green tip in bulk packs as well.

It has been 7 fucking years! San Diego Guns opened Jan 9, 2016 and it has been a wild ride. All of these photos were taken on or before we opened. We had very little inventory, no employees but we had a lot of passion and determination. I remember the shop wasn’t perfect and we weren’t ready, but it was time! I want to thank all of my family, friends and customers who have supported the shop over the last seven years. We wouldn’t be here without all of you!
