When loaded this small metal bar is visible in the up position. Plus, this 1911 features a magazine disconnect, which prevents the firearm from firing unless a magazine is loaded. These enhancements help provide firearms to states where traditional features are not available. These selected states require these attributes that deliver an additional layer of security.
